Use Any Container You Have Laying Around Your House To Grow Seeds In!

Do you have some plastic containers laying around that you don't know what to do with? Feel bad about just throwing them out? Well, yes, you can recycle them BUT, did you know that you can also use them to germinate your seeds in?!

Take a look at the picture above. It's a small, little, plastic container from Publix that had some cookies in it.

Next, poke a few holes in the top and bottom of the container to allow water to drain out of the bottom when you water your seeds and the top to allow for better air circulation

Next, add some seed-starting soil to the container, and sprinkle in the seeds that you want to germinate! *Note: it is important to keep in mind that not all seeds are alike and may require different germinating techniques/conditions! Be sure to do your research on the specific type of seeds you are trying to germinate BEFORE planting your seeds! This will give you a better chance of success! Refer to our other blog posts since we have a whole series on How To Germinate different kinds of flower seeds. We also HIGHLY recommend that you do NOT use all of your seeds at one time! That way, if you are unsuccessful the first time around, you still have seeds leftover where you can try again, with perhaps a different germinating technique the next time around.

If you are growing multiple kinds of seeds with multiple containers, it is good practice to label your containers so you know which seeds are in which containers.

And then, in no time, you will start to see your seeds sprout!!! 🌱 What an amazing feeling it is to see how you successfully germinated your seeds!!
