Achillea Millefolium White Yarrow. This is a showy mat-forming perennial. It grows long stems with lance-shaped mid-green leaves that emit a pleasant aroma. During early to late summer the stems will have a multitude of flat elegant, dainty flower clusters, each containing approximately 25 wihite flowers. The plant is long lasting, and easy to grow with low maintenance, but absolutely requires soil with good drainage. It self-sows quickly and will become invasive. By cutting the flowers back after the first bloom, you will be blessed with a second bloom and a healthy compact plant. Please remember to avoid rich moist soil that will cause the beautiful plant to become floppy, drop over, and possibly die if not rescued in time.
* Fun fact: I read the plant was named after the Greek Warrior Achilles, he used the plant to stop the bleeding and heal the wounds of his Soldiers during the Trojan War.
*tip... cutting plants back to basal leaves, and cleaning up spent flowers, could possibly promote blooming in the fall. Also, deadhead to lateral buds to lengthen the blooming period.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
