Alyssum - Aurinia Saxalitis – Basket of Gold is a taller Alyssum topping off at 1 foot tall. Bright cheerful yellow flowers fill the plant. Tiny clusters of Sunshine can fill an area that has poor soil or sandy and rocky soil as it likes poorer soil with sand. Great for rocky areas, borders, containers, and areas that little else will grow there, these might and do very well. The less you do for them, the better they like it! Deer and Rabbit Resistant to boot. Fragrant flowers will draw Hummingbirds, Butterflies and Bees to your garden. Basket of Gold originated in Eastern Europe and Turkey. Try planting different colors of sweet alyssum in your yard to create your own living color palette.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike!  There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
