Alyssum - Lobularia Maritima - Rosie O'Day is a small plant that grows much wider than it will in height. Blooming in a bright pink the flowers change to a softer pink as they age and so you will always see multiple shades of pink blooming. Sweet Alyssum is a very fragrant flower that has a honey scent to the fragrance. Beloved by Hummingbirds, Butterflies and Bees this plant is also a beneficial as it brings insects into your garden that you want there such as ladybugs. Ladybugs can eat quite a few aphids and so they are always welcome in my garden and so should they be welcome in yours. Plant a few in your vegetable garden as well. Great plant for containers as well as borders or bald spots.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike!  There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
