Aster - Callistephus Pompon - Blue Moon is not a typical flower, it is quite unique in how its colors fill the plant. The edges are white but inside that you will see dark blue and lighter blue around a yellow center. They are definitely a conversation piece for neighbors and friends. The flowers are 2 – 3 inches across and doubles like a pom pom, ergo the nickname. The plant will grow to about 20 inches tall and produce quite a few flowers that last for a very long time whether on the plant or cut for a vase. These fragrant flowers draw Butterflies and Bees to them. Plant in containers so everyone can see them, they will comment on these and another aster called hiro no maru, both are magnificent. This is not your Grandmas flower; she would jump the steps for this beauty.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike!  There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
