Dianthus Deltoides - Maiden Pink is an herbaceous perennial plant that is considered an invasive plant. Its origin is from Europe and came to the US by way of the gardening trade. These cute little flowers are found in the wild in disturbed areas like the roadside, fields, ditches, woodland openings, and trail edges. These unusual conditions don’t stop them being highly desired and being collected and used as ornamentals. Even growing up in the wild the beautiful full range of pink gives them their popularity. They work great in borders, edging, containers and flower beds. Deadhead or shear after flowering to entice new growth and new blooms. This plant is native to Asia and Europe.
