Dierama Pulcherrimum - Autumn Sparkler, also known as wand flower, angel's fishing rod. A perennial, this plant bears dense, tubular bell-shaped amazing fluorescent flowers. Autumn Sparkler is a rare Dierama that enhances any area it grows with the flowers facing upwards. It tolerates salt air and wind, also able to withstand lower temps than most plants. Colors include pale pink to deep magenta-pink with occasional purplish red or white. They will still be blooming long after their family members have faded away. They stand out in their environment because of their slightly open, close- set flowers on unique thin erect thin wands. Populare growing spots to plant are at the back of a border or by a pool or stream where soil is consistently moist. Many describe the flower to look more like an Iris than other dierama.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
