Digitalis Obscura - Sunset®. Aka: sunset foxglove. This foxglove was a Plant Select winner in 2004. It is a shrubby perennial that blooms from late spring to mid-summer presenting with chocolate-colored stems and showy rust-brown to yellow, or orange-yellow tubular flowers with red veins throughout. The stems grow in such a way that resembles a willow tree gracefully bending over the lance or linear-shaped leaves of grayish green foliage. This is truly a unique flower in both shape and color, and will surely make a statement in your garden or arrangements. This is one of the best foxgloves for poor soil conditions. Easy to care for and the pollinators love them!
