Lavandula Angustifolia – Rosea is a lovely lavender variety that has extremely fragrant flowers that are upright and a pale pink color. These blossoms stand out well against their silver-gray foliage. It was introduced in 1937, and both the foliage and the flowers of this plant are highly aromatic. It has a blooming season that ranges from late Spring to early Summer, grows best in full sun with well-draining soil, will grow between 24 – 30 inches tall, and is also drought tolerant. Lavender tends to grow in a compact bushy mound. These flowers will attract pollinators to your garden such as Butterflies and Bees while being resistant to Deer and Rabbits. It is native to the Mediterranean and is known as the “queen of herbs” for herb gardens. The showy flowers make great cut flowers, can be dried, and used in potpourris, does well in containers, and also in beds and borders in the garden. This plant has been widely used in aromatherapy to bring a sense of relaxation and reduce anxiety.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!!
