Papaver Paeoniflorum double mix. Sitting pretty on top of long sturdy hairy stems and intense blue-green foliage, these showy dazzling flowers will compliment any garden. The flowers blooms are heavy and doubled with crinkled petals. They will certainly stand out in the crowd touting 5 to 10 nodding flowers per stem in a wide color range which include: pink, purple, white, red, and deep violet. The flowers last about five days in bloom...... but wait!!!! The show isn’t over. Not only are these flowers amazing when alive, but they hold their beauty in death. When the petals fade and fall off a unique oblong seed pod forms and are haled as everlasting because they keep their shape and color and are widely used for dried arrangements and floral projects. If you want to prolong blooming, deadhead before they bud, but if thats not your goal, they will self sow. The seeds are edible but don’t eat them raw to avoid stomach upset.
