Potentilla Palustris – is a perennial that blooms in the summer. It is showy with its upright, reddish stems and deep red flowers that resemble dainty roses. These flowers grow best in full sun in well-draining soils, will grow between 1 – 2 feet tall, and are also cold tolerant. They will attract the bees to the garden while being resistant to deer and rabbits. They are good for water gardens, ponds, streams, beds, and borders. This plant can also be planted in free-standing water with the stems just above the water line, now how cool is that! This plant is low maintenance and easy to grow. However, it needs a lot of water, so be sure to keep that in mind! They are great flowers for the beginning, busy gardener, since they are easy to grow and low maintenance! I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!!
ONLY GERMINATE A SMALL PORTION AT A TIME.
DON'T PUT ALL YOUR MONKEYS IN A BARREL.
