Rudbeckia Triloba - Prairie Glow is a bushy, short-lived plant that has masses of flowers that are a vibrant red-orange color, have yellow tips, and contrasting centers that are a dark chocolate color. They rise atop sturdy stems that are a bronzy purple and will provide you with long-lasting color in your garden! The basal rosette that has three-lobed leaves will last throughout the Winter and will create an attractive groundcover. They will freely self-seed, are easy to grow, and are also heat and drought tolerant. They have a blooming season that lasts from mid-Summer to Fall, grows best in full sun in moist, well-drained soil, and will grow between 3 – 4 feet tall. It does tolerate light shade however it may need some support if grown in too much shade. It is also heat and drought tolerant. I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine,Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
