Salvia Horminum – Pink Sunday is one you’ll want to add to your garden, since many gardeners consider this plant to be one of the most garden worthy fragrant plants of the sage family. It has dainty pink flowers that grow vigorously and are grouped in threes that will last all summer long. These plants like full sun best, however it can tolerate some partial shade in well-drained soils. These plants will grow between 18 – 28 inches tall, and the blooming season lasts throughout the summer into the fall. These long-lasting flowers make for excellent fresh cut flowers and do well in dried arrangements since they hold their vivid color. Deadheading is recommended since it will keep fresh blooms coming. However, this plant will re-seed, so make sure to leave a few spent blooms. These will attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees to your garden while being resistant to deer and rabbits. I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike!  There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
