Thymus serpyllum - Magic Carpet – This creeping thyme perennial is a good low maintenance addition to the garden. It is a dwarf aromatic sub-shrub that forms a tight cushion of tiny rounded green leaves. It blooms clusters of tiny, bright, magenta-pink flowers all summer long. The nectar-rich, fragrant flowers bring the butterflies and bees to the garden but keep the deer and rabbits away. It does well in most soils, including dry and rocky, as long as it is well drained. They like full sun best and will only grow between 1 – 2 inches tall, making them great groundcovers. They are also drought tolerant. They are good for beds, borders, and edging. They can also be used as a filler plant in between stepping stones. If they get stepped on, don’t worry because they are tough, and it releases the fragrance! The Magic Carpet is native to Europe, Asia, and Africa. Being that they are low maintenance, they are great flowers for the busy gardener! Don’t miss out on this flower seed find, they will bring you blooms that will add a nice pop of color to any garden!

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
