Veronica Longifolia - Pink Shades or Garden Speedwell . A showy clumping upright perennial. The foliage is green with sharp toothed leaves and unbranched stems. It is erect and sturdy bearing thick packed tubular shaped rose-pink/salmon flowers that stack up the stems, blooming from the bottom up resulting in a long bloom time from April to July. It is easy to grow and maintain and is usually pest free but may be susceptible to powdery mildew and leaf spots if not spaced properly for adequate air
flow. It is fast growing and if the stems are pruned back after the first harvest, it will produce a second bloom period. Attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. It will thrive best with regular watering to keep soil moist, but not waterlogged. You will see bees and butterflies hanging around coming after the rich nectar the flowers contain.

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
