Zinnia Elegans - Lime Green Dahlia. A native to Mexico, this Zinnia is a compact mounding
annual that will bloom from June to frost. The unusual green flower is a conversation piece as you do not see green flower blooms too often. The full pom pom bloom is tightly packed with the petals filling it out nicely. Easy to grow from seed and no muss , no fuss type plant that requires very little. The 4 -5 inch flower poms fill the top of the plant and you want to deadhead to keep them coming. The Butterflies and bees are fans of Zinnia as well and will visit often. Deer and rabbit tend to leave them alone. They are capable of taking the heat and some drought but try to water when needed to keep them blooming on. Zinnias are always best planted en masse, put several together and see how Awesome it is!

I urge anyone buying seed to do their homework on germination, I have not raised and cannot raise many of these plants as I am sub-tropics here in St Augustine, Florida. All seed are NOT alike! There are so many different factors in germination and not doing a search is throwing your money away. I want everyone to be successful when growing your flowers from seed it is the most rewarding experience in Gardening and you can do it, if you give the seed what it needs to grow. I always check 3 sites of info to choose how I will go about it. It is not hard to do, if you do it right!
SEED GERMINATION TIP!!!!!!!
ONLY GERMINATE A SMALL PORTION AT A TIME.
DON'T PUT ALL YOUR MONKEYS IN A BARREL.
Good Luck and Happy Planting!!!!
